Something Special from Stoney Creek Model Railroad Club

If you are looking for a family-friendly activity in Auburn Hills, MI consider a visit to admire (and interact with) the model train exhibit hosted by the Stoney Creek Model Railroad club. This detailed exhibit has been a year in planning, and will delight children and adults alike. The exhibit opened in late November, and continues through early 2020. Whether you see yourself driving the engine, or waving from caboose, you will find a enjoyable afternoon of activities.

When Can We See the Model Train Exhibit?

The carefully crafted and assembled model trains are on view Dec 14, 15, 21, 22, 26, 27, 28 and 29, and for a few days in early January. You can find a complete schedule online.
The exhibit hours are 12:00 noon – 3:00 p.m.

Where is the Exhibit on View?

The trains are set up in the Calf Barn, on the grounds of The Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm at 1005 Van Hoosen Rd. Rochester Hills, MI 48306. The museum is a National Registered Historic Site, and you will find much to do and see there, along with the train exhibit. The model train landscapes feature sites you will recognize, and a few that may surprise you!

How Much is Admission?

If you are a member of the Rochester Hills Museum, your admission is free. For those who are not museum members, tickets are $5 for adults, and $3 for seniors and students. You can purchase tickets when you arrive at the museum.
