Having a teenager or tween hanging around home and at loose ends can be a challenge, especially if weather outside isn’t the greatest, and homework is winding down, in preparation for a winter holidays. The Auburn Hills Library has your back, with separate events for tweens and teens. They are both at the same time and location, so one carpool can bring a smile to your family, from grades 5 through 12. The library itself is open as well, so parents and siblings can browse the books and other offerings, even if not taking part in the tween and teen activities.
When Do These Events Occur:
Both Tween Toss Up and Teen Game Night are scheduled for Tuesday Night, Dec. 10, 2019, between the hours of 7:00 and 8:00 pm. The library is open on Tuesdays from 10 am until 9 pm, so you can plan to come a little early, and stay a bit after, if it suits your schedule.
Where are the Events Held?
Both Tween Toss Up and Teen Game Night will take place at Auburn Hills Public Library, at 3400 E. Seyburn Dr, Auburn Hills, MI, 48326. Library staff will be happy to direct participants to the specific rooms for each activity.
What’s on the Schedule for Tweens:
“Tween Toss Up” is scheduled for youngsters in grades 5-8. In the spirit of the season, participants will decorate glass candle holders. They can design their own artistic design, and the library will provide flameless tea lights, to enliven each creation. Registration is requested, to aid in planning space and supplies.
What’s on the Schedule for Teens:
Video games are the main event during Teen Game Night. The library provides a variety of video games — and not just the usual ones. To enhance the video gaming, and a sure draw for most teens: snacks are provided, and teens are encouraged to bring a friend. Registration is requested, to aid in planning and supplies.
