Has your favorite spring and summer activity always been fishing? If so, you’re likely anxious to pass down that tradition to your own kids. Fortunately, June 10, 2017 the city of Auburn Hills Michigan will be giving parents, and kids of all ages, a chance to enjoy this beloved outdoor pastime, as the city will be hosting its 14th annual River Day Fishing Derby! The contest is open to youth 16-years-old and under, and it will be held on the banks of the Clinton River. T-shirts and raffle prizes will be awarded. Plus, the entire event marks a great way to spend time as a family, within the Auburn Hills community.
How Can Your Kids Enjoy the Fun?
The fishing contest will kick off at 7:30 a.m., and last until 10 a.m., and will take place at Riverside Park.
Registration will take place from 7:30 to 8 a.m., and the actual contest will take place from 8 to 10 a.m. Prizes will then be awarded at 10 a.m.
This event is being hosted by the city of Auburn Hills, in conjunction with sponsorship from Clinton River Watershed Council, Trout Unlimited, General Towing, and Bass Pro Shops.
