When you’re hoping to get your stains to go away (and you’re hoping to find a way to keep them from showing up), it’s best to ask us for help. We know that you might find a lot of information online about remedies, ideas, DIY options, and more. However, the way to go is to think through the professional suggestions that we have to offer. As a result, you can maintain a white, lovely grin, thanks to preventive care.
Brush And Floss Better
If you want to stop stains from forming but you notice they’ve been showing up, you will need to brush better and floss better. Not sure where you’re going wrong with this part of your preventive care? Ask us during your next visit! Until then, we suggest that you make sure you spend time brushing (two minutes every time you brush) two times a day. Perform your flossing routine one time a day, as well. It helps a lot.
Watch Out: Staining Foods!
Keep an eye out for foods that will stain your teeth. Even if you’re quite good about your dental hygiene, this part of your preventive care cannot do everything when stopping stains. Foods that you think will stain will probably do just that. They often include dark or very colorful foods, such as pasta sauce, coffee, red wine … you get the idea! Limit your contact with them to protect your smile.
Remember Those Visits
Preventive care and stain protection aren’t complete unless you’re getting preventive treatments from our practice, too. Cleanings will aid in the stain prevention process, so remember to schedule yours!
