When you have just one missing tooth, did you know that there are multiple ways to replace it? Assuming it’s a tooth that you need (as in, you have not just had it removed for orthodontic reasons and it is not a wisdom tooth), then restoring the completion of your smile is essential! How to do this, though, you may ask yourself? Which prosthetic dentistry option to choose? Fortunately, you have three options and we can help you figure out which is best for your smile during a visit.
Schedule A Consultation
First, you may think that when it comes to replacing your missing tooth, you’re going to have to simply select from the three solutions we present you with. While it’s possible you qualify for all three, it’s also possible one or two of them simply won’t work for you. To find out what will or will not work for your smile from the get-go, you will need a consultation. We can check on the location of the tooth, the health of the rest of your mouth, and more to lay the foundation for your soon-to-be replaced tooth.
Choose One Of Three
About those possibilities: You can replace a single missing tooth with a dental bridge, with a partial denture, or with a dental implant and crown. A bridge is a single unit that will include end crowns (we will bond them onto your remaining teeth that sit on each side of the missing tooth area). Or, if you prefer a removable solution, you may select a partial denture, which you take in and out and which rests on your soft tissue and utilizes a clasp on a natural tooth for security. A dental implant will replace your roots and then support a dental crown, standing on its own to replace your full tooth.
