Invisalign: Is It Just Right Or Not Quite?

You may love thinking about coming in for Invisalign treatment, going home and making your way through treatment, and then looking forward to the big reveal at the end when you get to see your straight smile. However, if you have not yet spoken with us about this journey that you’re considering, you don’t actually know if Invisalign is just right for your needs or if it’s not quite on target, leaving you requiring some other form of cosmetic or orthodontic care. Figuring out whether you are or are not a candidate is best determined at our practice during a visit. For now, we can offer some preliminary details to give you a better idea!

If Your Issue Is Extremely Mild

If you have a very mild issue with your alignment, as in your front teeth look a little crooked but your bite balance is just fine, then you don’t really need Invisalign treatment. We may be able to make changes with cosmetic treatments like veneers. Or, you may be better suited to Fastbraces. See us to learn more.

If Your Issue Is A Common Misalignment Concern

There are some common misalignments out there that do affect your bite and that leave you requiring something more than just a cosmetic fix. If you’re dealing with one of them and it’s not a very severe issue, then you are likely going to make a good candidate for Invisalign treatment. Common types may include: Overbite, underbite, crossbite, overcrowding, spacing, or open bite.

If You Have Severe Concerns

If your misalignment does not include one of the aforementioned concerns and it requires complex care to address, then you may not qualify for Invisalign treatment. You may need traditional braces or otherwise. However, before you make any assumptions, the best place to start is with a consultation at our practice!
